"SS Model" Bayonet Frog: There is some debate on the actual intention for this piece of field gear. Some sources claim it to be an SS item issued from 1942 onwards, while others identify it as being made to accompany the Folding Shovel Carrier. After looking at several originals, we suspect it was simply a cost-saving variation introduced later in the War. However, since all things SS tend to be more popular, we have taken the liberty of marking them as such. It is stamped SS and RZM using original stamps.
