MG34/42 Ammo Cans
Postwar Yugoslavian military ammo cans. These are designed to hold 250 rds. of 8mm MG ammunition. (I put them on the original page for lack of a better place so don't have a cow.) These are 98% identical to WWII German- the only difference (besides the lack of a waffenamt) is a slight difference in the way the tip of the release latch is formed. These are all in very good to excellent condition, most if not all having the leather pads on the handles. To make them "spot on" WWII, they just need to be repainted panzer gray or dark yellow. Lastly, these all have some cosmoline (storage grease) on them. It can be removed with WD40 or paint thinner and a rag. It helps if you leave them in the sun for awhile first- heat softens the grease.

About Original EM jackboots
These are WWII enlisted man's boots. All of them have been re-soled at some time in the past. It is not possible to determine what month and year that was. Therefore they all lack hobnails and heel irons- a common modification since they are rather noisy and hard on floors.
The size is approximate since only one pair is clearly marked anymore. These are best used for display or a mannequin. NOT for wearing.

These are in good condition but are NOT appropriate for re-enacting or historical living. If you decide to go tromping around in them, they may not hold up very well. We will not accept them for return if you try them out and the sole falls off. Crystal?

As for re-soling them and adding the nails and irons, yes it is feasible. However, the cobbler we used is now out of business and we have no one we can recommend.

Original EM Jackboots, #1
Approximately a size 9. There is a faint "1958" inside, but it is not the year. Bundeswehr and NVA boots are very different in cut and pattern. Pullstraps are missing. These still retain the leather half soles but have a rubber cap on the heel.
$195.00

Original EM Jackboots, #3
Approximately a size 9. A little stiff, but oiling will help. Rubber half sole and heel. Markings no longer legible. Pullstraps intact. 15" shaft, classic M39 pattern boots.
$180.00

Gefreiter Chevron:  Original
Luftwaffe Private 1st Class stripe. Blue-grey wool with silver Tresse only.

Austrian Shovels
Point nosed shovel made for the Austrian Army, and utilized by the Wehrmacht. I had intended to get the unique single loop cover made for these, but it just never seems to happen. These are original period shovels. The ones I examined closely had no discernible dates, but they are old. If you look closely in original photos, these are not terribly uncommon. Where to find the covers, I don't know.
$50.00

WWII Klappspaten
Original issue German manufacture folding shovels. These all have dates and Waffenamts, but they are under a layer of medium green paint applied by the Norwegian army after the War. Good to very good condition. Originals were unpainted: the metal parts were blued and the wood was bare. So far we have found that an hour or so spent scrubbing with acetone will remove the paint. However, be careful as the bakelite nut does not like sandpaper, paint stripper or chiseling. We are not responsible for shovels damaged by customers trying to remove the paint!
Markings:
All are "marked". All appear to have a 3 letter maker code. Some are dated, some are waffenamted, some both, some one or the other. To help prevent coronaries, we will remove the paint enough to expose the markings. So far, all that have dated are are dated '41 or '42. Mostly "agv". No guarantee of anything other than them being original W.W.II German and serviceable. People get completely silly over markings...
$100.00
