German WWII V-Neck Sweater
Reproduction of the standard military issue sweater. These sweaters were worn by troops in all branches of the German Armed Forces and SS. Dark gray wool blend knit with dark green stripes at the cuffs and neck. Quality is excellent. These are identical to the ones we carried previously that were "Made in Germany". They are so identical that I wonder if those were indeed made in Europe or simply subcontracted by a European company. Marked with a size I, II or III at the collar as were originals.

Same weave as the original (on the left)
Note on comparison photo: These gloves match the originals I sent the factory perfectly. My only remaining glove here has lighter colored fingers (see pic). Originals vary a bit, but if or when I get the samples back I'll do a better demo picture.

Gray Wool Knit Gloves
Not available until February 2009
New, exact reproduction of the WWII German wool gloves. We found a company with looms that make the same knit weave as what was used during the War. A couple of other companies have come close, but the construction was never quite this good. Aside from the yarn content (wool/ acrylic instead of wool/cellulose), these are flawless. They will pass for original.
Like the WWII gloves, the size is indicated by the number of wrings inside the wrists- 1, 2 or 3. The more rings, the larger the gloves. These equate to modern M, L, or XL, or 9, 10, 11 in US military sizes. (In that order.)

German Belly Warmer
Felt "girdle" worn around the waist to keep one's innards from freezing up. Yes, they really work. These were standard winter issue items for the Wehrmacht. These are post-War, but identical to the originals.
RB Numbered.
$2.00

Grey Wool Scarf
Thick dark grey wool scarf, some with dark blue stripes at each end (not all have these; men were not casting these aside 60 years ago if they were stripeless!). Identical to originals. New condition. Sorry, these are surplus so we do not know the exact percentage of wool. 40.5" X 12"
$10.00

Reproduction Head Toque
Perfect copy of the original "head warmer" issued to all German field units. These were made only for ATF, by a US woolen mill, copied from an original sample. 100% wool.
