German Uniforms Main Page

WARNING!
These tunics and trousers are often not the same shade of Oak A. The Fall side is nearly identical, but the green side is different. Authenticity fact; this is historically more accurate. SS uniforms were usually made from mix-matched shades. Both factory and field made uniforms. This causes aesthetic indigestion for many "cookie cutter fantasy" re-enactors, but it's a fact.
If you must have matching shades, then you must find another company, because we do not have them.

Waffen-SS "Field made" Tunics, Oak A:
During the war, numerous non-standard uniform and field gear items were made from camouflage material by unit or private tailors. One of the more common garments seen in original photos are camo tunics. These appear to have been favored by many senior NCO's and especially SS officers. Our reproduction illustrates the features most commonly seen in photos. The pattern is basically that of the DAK tropical tunic, with pleated pockets and scalloped flaps. Shoulderboard loops and buttons are provided. Available in our Oak-A camouflage, spring or fall colors out. (non-reversible).
NOTE: These were NOT an issue uniform. These were a non-standard, custom-made jacket, and originals exhibit many variations from one to the next. (This means that Herr Sturmbannfuhrer "obtained" a couple of zeltbahns, then went to his favorite tailor and had a uniform made for himself to his liking.)
Therefore there is not a "correct" pattern per se. We have used the most popular features, but many other variations existed. We cannot make them all.

Fall Colors

See. Although the Spring colors have brown amongst them, they are indeed different from the Fall. OK?
Waffen-SS "Field made" Camo Trousers, Oak A:
Matching trousers for the field made tunics. Toward the end of the war, the frequency of custom trousers made from zeltbahns increased markedly. The original trousers we have seen varied widely in cut and style. Ours are very similar to SS Panzer trousers, but lacking the tapered ankles and pocket flaps. 32" inseam. They feature belt loops as well as buttons for attaching suspenders, two slash pockets, one hip pocket, watch pocket, button fly and straight leg construction. Available in our Oak-A Fall or Spring colors (non-reversible).
