Original U.S. Uniforms
All items on this page are guaranteed original.
Condition: We try to describe these accurately, and we don't buy junk. However, these uniforms are 60 years old, and most have some evidence of their age. They are totally serviceable, and we may perform small repairs or replace missing buttons and such where needed.
Sizing: The sizes we state are the actual factory sizes stamped in the garments. Militaria dealers are famous for claiming "size 38S but fits a 44R! I swear!". When no tag is present, we measure them to determine the correct size.
How to determine size on unlabeled coats and jackets? Easy. Add subtract 6" from the actual chest measurement. If the coat is 52" around the boobs, then it's a size 46. The exception is Army HBT's which are 10" oversized.
Size Warning: This is a huge problem with these uniforms: These WILL NOT fit a larger size than they are marked! For example, if you wear a 44R, you WILL NOT be able to wear a 42R. We guarantee it. Despite these warnings, every week one or two people disregard us and try to prove us wrong. If you order a smaller size than you wear, we will not refund your shipping when you find us correct and want to return it.
DON"T DO IT.
Mackinaw Coats |
|
D10-UU-10 Mackinaw Coat 46L: Excellent condition, 1st pattern mackinaw. The label is a blank QM type (used for special order and odd sizes) but the chest measures 52" which = size 46. Sleeves are 38" (from the neck center) which makes this a long. The shell fabric is duck (rather than twill) and the color is pea green, which I suspect puts this as a late 1930's production. (Judging from other with dated spec labels.) The only blemish of any kind is a light area on the left cuff- it appears someone may have tried to scrub off a stain. But it's minor. Super clean, few or no moth nips, basically mint, no signs of wear. And huge.

D10-UU-12 Mackinaw Coat, 3rd Model 46R: Nice, late War Mackinaw. Made from pea-green poplin, Dated Feb 1945. This one has some wear and minor fraying at the cuffs, the little hanger loop in the neck is torn and a small pin hole in the collar. Overall very good. Sleeve length is 36".

D10-UU-13 Mackinaw Coat: Size 40R. Very nice coat made form poplin- like M41 jackets. Dated 1942. A few moth track on the lining, and several faint stains on the front (coffee?) but nice size and very khaki. Same price as a repro.

M41 Field Jackets |
|
|
D10-UU-23 Army Air Force M41 Jacket: Interesting modified field jacket. The lining of the body has been altered to be removable. The liner appears to be a British wool. The original lining of the sleeves is still present. Size 36R. No labels. This jacket has normal wear and tear- the cuffs are typically worn but the collar is fine. Machine sewn, period insignia- when it was applied who knows. Zipper is a period replacement- "Aldes"?

Wool Overcoats:Original melton wool overcoats. Standard issue throughout the War. We have a mix of 1939 (brass buttons) and 1942 (plastic buttons) coats. The condition varies from fair to excellent. All are field serviceable and fine for re-enacting.
Yes, the prices on large sizes is abhorrent. However, they no longer exist. Try finding one. Pakistani made repros are $200. If you want to fuss, go get one of those.
The sizes listed are the actual factory sizes! Not the wishful thinking that a 38 will somehow fit a 46. These are cut big, and you may be able to wear one size smaller than you normally wear. In other words, if you wear a 46, a 44 will probably work unless you intend on wearing 3 layers underneath. Two sizes smaller will NOT work.
"Cut down" coats have been shortened by about 12" by the soldiers. This was a common WWII modification (sometimes via tailor, others via knife) as the end of the coat tended to get wet and caked with mud in the field and became heavy and debilitating.

International Orders: These coats weigh 3.5-4 kg. Shipping will be $50-60 to Europe and Anzacland.

M37 Wool Trousers:
Original WWII "combat serviceable" mustard wool trousers, in good to very good, completely serviceable condition. Most will have a small stain or two or a small repair. An affordable alternative to the expensive reproductions.
These are the actual sizes of the trouser. (Some dealers let them out and then call them 2 sizes larger than they actually are.) Various dates and makers. Our supply is VERY limited, as large sizes are incredibly difficult to find. All of these are very much "mustard" in color.
