ATF Reproduction Army HBT's
Material: 100% cotton herringbone twill in olive
drab No. 7. The color is a dead-on match to originals. There were two
main colors seen in W.W.II HBT's. "Sage green" and a late
war, darker Olive Drab #7. The Army switched to the darker shade early
in 1943, putting this color uniform in service in time for D-Day.
Pattern and Assembly: Our patterns are made from original HBT's.
All the details have been duplicated. We included the utterly useless
gas flaps, cut them out if you like. Jackets are oversized like originals.
Caps and trousers are only oversized enough to allow for shrinkage.
Washing instructions: We recommend cold wash (machine
or hand) and hang dry for all cotton uniforms. These uniforms will survive
washing in warm or hot water and machine drying, such actions will speed
up fading and decrease the life of the garment(s).
Why no more "Made in USA"? The last mill which could
make HBT cloth went out of business last year. That is a bit difficult
to overcome. On the upside, unlike the fabrics we've had dyed and finished
in the USA, none of our imported fabrics have turned yellow or streaked.
It appears that the Chinese give a shit about their products. Sad to
say, but over the last 3 years, we have been rarely able to say that
about any of the few remaining US companies we deal with.
Fabric Samples are NOT available. Rest assured, these are the
correct HBT and the color is Olive Darb #7.

Army HBT Jacket
Second pattern HBT jacket, "Special" (indicates a gas flap)
used by the US Army, Air Corps, and some Marines. This pattern is
the most common wartime issue fatigue jacket. Our jackets feature
unpleated breast pockets with bellows, 13 star tack buttons, spec
labels, gas flap, and button down cuffs. These are oversized like
the W.W.II Jackets. Originals were sized to, theoretically, fit over
the wool uniform. Jackets will have a sleeve length of approximately
35".
Imported
$50.00
Important
sizing note: We
have sized our HBT jackets like the originals; BIG. The fatigue jacket
was designed to be capable of being worn over the wool shirt and
the field jacket. (An original size "38" actually measures
48 inches in the chest.) If you want them to be more "form fitting,"
order one size smaller than normal. We still recommend you order the
correct size and keep in mind that these are supposed to be loose
fitting. These were designed as a work and combat uniform...not an
Armani suit.
Shrinkage:
Very minimal. By that I mean about 1/2 inch. It's inconsequential.

Army HBT Trouser
Second Pattern trousers issued throughout W.W.II. They feature a gas
flap, belt loops and 2 hip pockets with bellows. Trousers are oversized
slightly to account for shrinkage. Inseams are 34".
$50.00
Sizing/ Shrinkage: Our trouser waist
sizes run slightly larger than marked, which will allow for shrinkage.
Levi's, Docker's, and Wranglers are the same way.
What size do you wear in our pants? Look at the tag in your jeans
or slacks, and see what size they are. Very
simple. We don't make secret sizes that
require a magic decoder ring to decipher.
Our inseams are accurate, 34" when new. Final shrinkage after multiple washings will be 1/2" on the waist 1.5-2 inches on the inseams.
