Sewing kits for US troops. During the War, the were dozens of styles of sewing kits available to American service personnel. Some were issued, and nearly every PX, tailor shop, general store, dime store, and the Red Cross offered some variation of them to the troops.
We copied this from one in our collection; it's made from Army pattern HBT cotton, and we equipped it with pins, needles, several types of thread, and a wide selection of buttons for US uniforms.
