Reproduction of the Jump Trousers worn by the paratroopers in the US Army airborne divisions. Patterned from original examples, our trousers are made from 100% cotton twill cloth, in the correct olive drab no. 3 shade. They feature two cargo pockets, 2 hip and two rear pockets, watch pocket, full seat & thighs, a normal rise, and zinc plated snaps on the pocket flaps.
How do these differ from our other jump trousers? They have no spec labels, the bottom corners of the cargo pockets are more rounded, and both seat pockets have buttons to secure them closed (on originals, only the left does.) Later batches will not have the American made snaps- on these, the contractor goofed and used the Scovils that we had provided for the other trousers.
Shades: Just as with the originals in WWII, jackets and trousers are made from the same cloth, but it was dyed in multiple batches. So, jackets and trousers may have subtle differences in shade- one may be a bit darker or lighter than the other.
Sizing: Our trouser waist sizes run 2-3 inches larger the marked size, just like nearly all other modern pants (they lie about how thin you are.) Levi's, Docker's, J. Crew, LL Bean, 5.11's, etc are the same way.
So, what size do I wear?
1. If one wears a "size 34" in Gap jeans, Lucky's, J. Crew, Docker's, etc, etc, then our size 34 will work.
2. However, suit pants, some work pants and original WWII trousers do NOT lie. If one wears a 34 in originals, or their waist tape measures 34 inches, then they can wear our 32.
Washing: Hand wash cold, hang dry. The metal snaps do not get along with washers and dryers.
