WSS pattern Parka in fieldgray. These were issued in the Fall of 1943 to replace the "Kharkov" Fur lined models. They were made from the same fieldgray poplin as the previous coats, but otherwise mimicked the Heer's reversible winter uniform. The only pattern change was the use of scalloped pocket flaps, and placing the size markings in the neck instead of under the storm flap.

The apparent color difference is due
to age and soiling...
 		We matched the color to the
underside of the pocket where
the fabric was clean 		The fur-lined "Kharkov" parkas
and the fieldgray models appear
to have been issued and worn
concurrently. The outer shell
fabrics are the same.

Why did I choose to "dishonor" history?



Washing: Yes, they are washer/ dryer safe. As always, for least fade and longest life, wash in cold and hang dry. Shrinkage is 1" in the body and sleeves. (Washers and dryers will chip the paint on the buttons.)
