Second Pattern pouches in olive green. Identical to those made by "clg", Ernst Melzig Lederwaren in 1943-44. There are no other reproductions available that are this accurate- the easiest way demonstrate is with the comparison photo above.
The 100% cotton canvas was special ordered and dyed to match an original example in Indiana. Later, we had cutting dies made to duplicate the tear-drop holes for the closures and to cut the tips of the straps. The "MP38 u. 40" marking font and size was taken directly from the real pouches. Assembled with cotton and linen thread.
Made with US materials.
Comparison Photo: I did not have unissued originals in this pattern- so I simply "aged" a pair of ours. This was done with a bath in dirty water. This is my best answer to the question, "how close do they look to originals?"
Sold only in pairs.
