Many enthusiasts have little exposure to or experience with the authentic equipment and uniforms actually used in World War II. These pages are a summary of historical information and my own observations on certain items accumulated from years of collecting and manufacturing reproductions. I am by no means an expert on every niche, but I have worked with original militaria on a daily basis for over 20 years. There are many aspects which even "advanced" collectors and authors never notice or deal with, things which only come to light when one is attempting to recreate an item made 70+ years ago. In particular, I try to correct several glaring misconceptions and untruths common to certain aspects of WWII Militaria. Education is the solution.
