Exact reproduction steel tent stakes used by the German military with Zeltbahn tents. Maker marked and dated, painted field gray. As per regulation, each soldier was issued 2 stakes (along with one tent pole) and four troops got together to make one tent. However, as with all regulations, this was often broken and many troopers acquired "extra" zelts, poles and pegs to enlarge their living quarters. Approx. 10'' long

The Germans made these in steel, aluminum, bakelite and wood. We chose the steel as it's the sturdiest of them, and withstands being hammered far better than the others. Steel stakes were painted light gray, dark gray or fieldgray. Priced each.
