Reproduction of the famous German WWII issue "boot knives". Originals come in a myriad of styles which vary in length, edge, blade type, handle shape and clasp, so we we copied an authentic example of the highly sought after Puma brand knife. These feature a 5.25" single edge steel blade, wood grips, and a spring clasp on the scabbard. Yes, the scabbards will interchange with originals (but we don't have any extras to sell on their own.)
Sorry, we do not have the technical specifications for the steel- that said, the blades are not soft (like some other reproductions) and they hold an edge well.
