Product Description
Original WWII reversible splinter smock, printed on the HBT fabric that was typical for this type. It shows evidence of use and moderate fading, no holes rips or tears.
Sadly, it was modified at some point for purposes unknown- it appears that someone wanted to turn it into a shirt. The body has been narrowed to about 46" and the cuffs were removed making the sleeves 32" from the neck center. The drawcords at the placket & waist have been taken out and the chest access slits sewn closed.
On the upper inner back are a number of stamps from a Czech film studio's costume department. The original German maker stamp, "R & A Becker" and "42" date is also present.
This would still display well on a mannequin wearing fieldgear.
