In 1943, the Navy produced an equipment set for their Corpsman which was similar to that used by Army Medics. It used the same suspenders and cantle ring straps as the Army, with slightly larger carrying bags. Many Corpsman chose to wear only one bag with a shoulder strap or used the larger Navy Corpsman Case.
