Reproduction of the M1941 Knapsack, typically referred to as the "lower pack" due to it being worn underneath the Haversack. This pack was designed to carry an extra pair of trousers, 2 shirts, plus socks, underwear and undershirts. The pack has no internal pockets or dividers.

When issued their gear, Marines signed form NMC 782 QM (Individual Equipment Record) to acknowledge receipt, which then gave birth to the wartime slang "782 gear".
