Product Description

US paratrooper helmets as worn by members of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Band of Brothers) made by converting original WWII US military steel pots and liners. Aside from the age, there is almost no way to distinguish these from original WWII jump helmets. Comes completely assembled and ready to wear. (You may have to adjust the sweatband to fit your head.)

-Front seam, WWII production steel pot, swivel bale, refinished in the correct dark olive drab color and refitted with khaki paratrooper chinstraps
-Liners are original Westinghouse production, some WWII, other Westinghouse/ Micarta (completed in 1951-52) but there is zero physical difference other than a tiny stamp inside. Cleaned and restored. (Inland liners are NOT available)
-Liner chinstrap
-Sweatband
-A-yokes & chin cup
-506th stencils

Nets, scrim, and first aid packets available at increased cost, and to be fitted by customer.

WARNING!

We cannot guarantee these to be completely free of dings, small cracks, scratches, or rough spots.

All U.S. helmets are assembled using military surplus steel pots and liners. These are 50-70 years old. They are not mint, flawless, stored in a shock-proof-vault-just-for-u. Although we repaint and refurbish them, some evidence of their past use is certain. Small dents, dings or stress cracks are the norm. They are in good to very good shape, but not flawless.

US Helmet "Sizes"

There is only one size! Unlike German helmets and modern day Kevlars, the M-1 M-1C and M-2 helmets and liners come in only one size. The sweatband in the liner adjusts to fit your head via a slide buckle like some baseball caps. Thus, one size fits all. If you get a helmet and it's too tight, you simply need to adjust the sweatband. It's very, very simple.
